We held our first wedding at the beautiful Impiana Private Villa’s on 10th December 2018 for the lovely Shaye & Jason. Little did I know this was going to be one of the most memorable weddings yet!
Doing my first wedding at any venue is always nerve wracking but having visited the venue for an inspection beforehand I knew it was a gem of a place. Walking back in to do the rehearsal I knew it was going to be the perfect location. How could you not enjoy this stunning view?
During the rehearsal the weather wasn’t on our side which always adds to the nerves, but when we awoke on the wedding morning the sun was shining and the rain was the last thing on anyone’s mind!
We got set up well underway and transformed the lawn area overlooking the ocean into the perfect wedding backdrop. All flowers and decor were arranged by the venue themselves, Impiana
Unfortunately, just before guests started arriving we realised that the groom, Jason was becoming quite ill. He hadn’t been feeling great all day but started to deteriorate as the ceremony drew nearer. We sprung into action and got him whisked to the closest clinic where they provided him with what he needed to get through the ceremony. Nothing was going to stop him marrying the love of his life and he arrived back to Impiana in time to slip into his suit and take some great snaps with his groomsmen. All the while the girls were able to keep Shaye occupied she was none the wiser!
The ceremony was conducted by Paul from Wedding Celebrant Asia who kept it all lighthearted and finished off the ceremony with a lovely sand pouring ceremony, which of course Shaye won, the girls always do!
Post ceremony the drinks started flowing whilst we transformed the lawn area into a dazzling reception area festooned with lighting to give a lovely romantic feel. All it took was a quick cocktail hour and the whole venue was transformed! Well done team Impiana!
We switched things around slightly as Jason had to head back to the clinic at some point to top up on his medication, so after the grand entrance of the newlyweds, we went straight into cake cutting, followed by the speeches. The day before Shaye had asked me to ensure her speech was last as she had a surprise for everyone, and boy did she go out with a bang. At the end of her speech she scolded Jason (jokingly) for keeping his illness a secret all day, then announced she also had a secret of her own, she was expecting their second child!! Plenty of hugs and tears of joy followed, and massive congratulations on both accounts go out to both Shaye & Jason!
After dinner finished, the entertainment kicked in with photobooth fun from Snap Happy and DJ performance from our favourite DJ Simon of Koh Samui Events which got the party into full swing. The dancefloor was full right until the last song of the night!
A huge congratulations to you both and I hope you have a wonderful long life together ahead with the new bundle of joy arriving next year xxx
