I was contacted by Alicia & Ryan 3 weeks before their wedding date, asking if I could help them with a memorable elopement. Having booked a trip to Thailand already, they wanted to include some Thai aspects into their day to make it one they could remember. However, they still wanted to have a traditional Western wedding as well.
I was actually going to be unavailable on their chosen wedding date as I had a wedding in Bali that I was already travelling for. No need to worry though, our trusty partners Thai Do, based in Phuket were on hand to help out.
We went fully traditional on the wedding with an early start for a Buddhist Monk Blessing at the magnificent Wat Chalong. Offerings and donations were given to the temple whilst Alicia & Ryan got blessed. Some stunning photographs were taken by the talented Gina of Gina Smith Photography.
After a few hours rest back at the hotel, Alicia & Ryan embarked on the second half of their wedding day with a beautiful beach ceremony on one of Phuket’s secluded beaches. Not many beach ceremonies take place in Phuket due to strict regulations but the Thai Do team managed to get permission to host the small ceremony.
The romantic ceremony was conducted by Tim Campbell and more beautiful photos were taken by Gina both of the ceremony and along the beach afterwards for sunset. Alicia wanted a tropical theme for a tropical wedding and the flowers shoe chose were gorgeous. The Thai Do team even surprised Alicia & Ryan with a delicious wedding cake to end the day with.
Elopements are becoming more and more popular and I find them to be so romantic. The raw emotion when it’s only the bride and groom is always so intense, I just love it! I wish Alicia & Ryan all the best for their married life together and thank you for allowing us to create your Dream Wedding. From the team at Dream Asia Weddings, thank you for trusting in us on your big day x
Thanks a lot for the article. Much thanks again. Really Great. Binny Darby Cho
