I was contacted by Alicia & Ryan 3 weeks before their wedding date, asking if I could help them with a memorable elopement. Having booked a trip to Thailand already, they wanted to include some Thai aspects into their day to make it one they could remember. However, they still wanted to have a traditional Western wedding as well.
Bali Wedding April 2019
Bali is still a relatively new destination for me, having done only one previous wedding here before. It’s always daunting doing weddings in new places, but with the right team behind you, you know anything is possible.
First Wedding of 2019
The first wedding of 2019 for me was at the lovely X2 Samui, a small boutique hotel located in the quiet Hua Thanon area in the South of Samui. I love the area down here as it’s really quiet and peaceful. What is perfect about this venue is that you can book out the whole place for your wedding party since it only has 26 rooms. This enables you to have the same level of privacy as you would get at a private villa without all of the additional expenses that go hand in hand with a villa wedding.
Hua Hin Wedding
One of the most rewarding moments you can have as a wedding planner, is receiving a referral from a previous couple who you’ve had the pleasure of working with previously. Knowing that you’ve done such a good job that they recommend you to their friends is such an amazing feeling. Richie & Candy were married at a private villa in Samui in March 2017 and introduced me to their close friends, who were looking to get married in Hua Hin. I’ve never done a wedding in Hua Hin before, and hadn’t even actually been there before either, so a lot of faith was put in me when they decided to book me as their wedding planner. But fear not, I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, and before long, the venue was chosen as the wonderful Putahracsa Resort.
Dubai Wedding
Planning a wedding in a new destination is a daunting prospect. New venues, new suppliers, new weather. But when I asked by a couple who had previously been guests at a wedding I had planned in Thailand, I couldn’t say no.
Last minute wedding
Planning a wedding, especially a destination wedding usually takes quite some time. I usually spend at least a year, sometimes up to two, with each couple from their initial enquiry to the wedding day itself. However, not all weddings require such a lengthy planning process, and when I was contacted by a frantic couple, 2 weeks before their wedding date, there was no doubt we’d be able to pull off their dream wedding. Final wedding of 2018
Our final wedding of 2018 was the beautiful elopement of Mike and Michelle. Mike and Michelle travelled to Thailand over the festive season and made the brave decision to elope whilst they were there. They chose my favourite wedding destination, Koh Samui to say I Do and what a great choice they made. Despite it being wet season, the sun shone brightly all day long. Continue reading
Impiana Private Villas, Kata Noi, Phuket
We held our first wedding at the beautiful Impiana Private Villa’s on 10th December 2018 for the lovely Shaye & Jason. Little did I know this was going to be one of the most memorable weddings yet!
WoW Over Water Wedding
I’ve been looking forward for a long time to doing my first wedding at the amazing Conrad Samui, most well known for it’s stunning over water weddings. Whilst over water weddings aren’t new to me, Conrad wins a lot of awards for their weddings and I was super excited to host my first one here in July.
