Things To Do

Whilst Samui is a fairly small island and you’ve potentially already scanned a few travel sites and guide books, we still thought it would be good to give you some tips on things to do.

There are plenty of spas on the island ranging from small beach shacks to top end spas. It’s difficult to walk down the street without being tempted in by the various options available. Tamarind Springs is a highly recommended higher end spa for those that would like to splurge or, just pop into any that takes your fancy when walking past.

For those looking for souvenirs to take back home, Central Festival in Chaweng offers plenty of shopping options. For those looking for something more traditional, Fisherman’s Village has a walking street on a Friday night with many stalls selling trinkets, souvenirs, street food, cocktails, you name it! On any other day of the week, Fisherman’s Village is also a nice place to visit with many beachfront restaurants, bars and shops.

Boat Trips

One of the most popular boat trips from Samui is to Ang Thong Marine Park. This is a full day trip and can be done via speedboat or a more relaxing junk boat. Various trips are available depending on your requirements. For those looking for snorkelling Koh Tao is a good option, which is another full day trip from Samui. Alternatively, shorter half day trip around Samui itself, or to neighbouring Koh Phangan are also worth checking out.

The island’s nightlife centre’s around Chaweng area with many beach bars dotted along the shoreline. Soi Green Mango is where the late night action takes place. There are a number of cabaret shows available which are all free of charge as long as you buy a drink. Ark Bar is famous for its pool parties. For those looking for something a bit more laid back, Coco Tam’s in Fisherman’s Village is a relaxing beach bar. Another firm Samui favourite is The Jungle Club which has stunning views over the ocean, especially at sunset. Bookings are advisable.

Island Tours

For the sightseers in the group, there are many sights to see on Samui such as Big BuddhaWat Plai Laem, and various waterfalls. Depending on your requirements, a tailor made tour can be put together for you to visit some of the top sights on Samui.
